Battle Cancer has two divisions so you can compete at your level: Challenge division is the standard, Compete division is harder. All teams are teams of four - male, female or mixed. Mixed teams can be any combination of gender - 2:2 or 1:3. Each runner will wear a chip timer, either individually or shared within a relay team. The chip tracks your distance and time. In the relay, you can divide the distance however you choose, but each runner must complete a full loop before passing the timer to the next teammate. Every 1 $/£/€ of 5 AED your team donates or fundraises = 1 point. Your score = Your time + fundraising points. Individual 5K Start Time: 09:00 (time-capped at 60 mins) 10k Pairs Start Time: 11:00 (time-capped at 90 mins) 15k Team Start Time: 13:00 (time-capped at 90 mins)

What is fun about competing at a Battle Cancer event is that while it is a fitness competition, you can also get competitive with the fundraising. The more you fundraise or donate, the better your team will perform in the standings, and the more rewards, gifts, and perks from Battle Cancer brand partners your team will have access to as well! Learn more on how fundraising works here: How Fundraising Works | Battle Cancer During 2025, we are excited for the Concept2 RowErg, SkiErg, and BikeErg to be featured in Battle Cancer events in the UK, Ireland, Dubai, Germany, France, Spain, and the USA. At each event you will get to choose your challenge – either the signature Battle Cancer Challenge, the Battle Run, or the Battle Lift. For The Battle Cancer Challenge, assemble your team of four individuals (or register solo and be paired with other individuals to create a team of four) and progress though nine high-energy stations consisting of bike, row, ski, run, and lift movements. Push for max reps in five-minute bursts with four minutes to recover between stations. You can opt to participate in the Challenge (standard) or Compete (advanced) Divisions and teams may be male, female, or mixed. If you prefer to take on the Battle Run, you have three ways to compete. Push your endurance in an individual 5 km race or tackle the 10 km distance in a two-person relay or the 15 km distance in a four-person relay. How you stack up against other teams is a combination of your final time and your total money raised – the fastest team does not necessarily always win in this case! If strength is your strong suit, you might want to try the Battle Lift. This is a 60-minute challenge to lift as much weight as possible in a team of four using one barbell and a set of plates, with the freedom to adjust the weight and rotate teammates as you like.
