Was ist Metrix?

METRIX is a fitness competition for pairs that combines a workout with nightclub-style production: DJ sets, lighting and a social recovery area with ice baths and saunas. It was co-founded by Toby Spooner and Will McLaren, launched in 2025, and has held events in London, Manchester and Cardiff.

Pairs move through five stations: SkiErg, burpees, rowing erg, bike erg, and sleds with shuttles. They share the workload however they like. Event listings describe each station as a ten-minute block. Scoring is done by technology rather than judges, with live tracking of every metre and rep, and a prize pool for the top teams. METRIX uses simple movements and is aimed at everyday athletes and first-timers, while still giving fitter pairs a competitive target.

Was ist TYRUN?

TYRUN is a seasonal fitness race series in Belgium and the Netherlands, run by TYRUN B.V. Each season brings a new workout with new exercises, distances and standards, and races during the season count towards a leaderboard and a season final.

The Season 2 course is four laps, each a 600 m run followed by two stations, for 2.4 km of running and eight stations in total: Echo Bike, seated sled pull, weighted step-ups, med ball sit-ups, a 1,000 m row, devil's presses, a 1,000 m SkiErg and a sandbag carry over a yoke. Athletes race as singles or doubles in Scaled, Open or Pro divisions, which change only the loads and calories, or as four-person relay teams in Open. Most athletes finish in 60 to 90 minutes and there is no cut-off. Season 2 stops include Liège, Hasselt, Amsterdam (Vijfhuizen) and Antwerp, with the finals in Ghent. The Scaled division is aimed at first-time racers.
