## DLPT United: Three Teams Taking on the Farm Games Team DLPT take on the Farm Fitness Summer Games, one of the UK’s most unique and raw fitness competitions, hosted at the iconic Farm Fitness facility in Essex. The event brings together athletes from across the country to tackle tough, functional workouts inspired by the grit of farm life—sandbags, axle bars, hay bales, worms, thrusters, and more. This year’s Games took place on **Saturday 23rd August 2025**, running from early morning until evening, with five demanding events spread across the farm: - **Farm Strong**– barbell and sandbag work inside the gym - **Hustle and Hay**– explosive outdoor fitness - **Field Fury**– log and axle carries across the main field - **Yard Work**– erg machines and dumbbell grind - **Harvest Hustle**– the worm and shuttle runs, team endurance at its best It’s not just a competition. It’s a test of physical and mental toughness, teamwork, and resilience, set against the backdrop of an incredible community vibe. ## Team DLPT: Three Squads, One Mission This year DLPT entered **three teams** into the Summer Games, representing months of hard graft and preparation. The results? A performance to be proud of, with **Team DLPT placing 5th overall out of 70 teams**—a massive achievement in such a competitive field. The other DLPT squads gave it everything too, pushing to the limit and proving what our community is all about: energy, commitment, and support. ... Earlier this month, Wonsettler Physical Therapy and Specialized Health brought the community together for one of western Pennsylvania’s most exciting fitness challenges — the annual Farm Games. Hosted on the rolling hills of Wonsettler Farm in Scenery Hill, the event challenged dozens of contestants of all ages to dig deep, push their limits, and have fun on a nearly 3-mile obstacle course designed to test strength, endurance and grit. The third annual Farm Games, quickly becoming a staple of summer, is known for blending farm-inspired activities with a race-day atmosphere, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for both competitors and spectators. This year’s course featured a variety of obstacles, each inspired by the hard work and unpredictability of life on the farm. Contestants began the competition with a steep hill climb, setting the tone for a course that demanded both physical and mental toughness. From there, the route wove through fields and woods, packed with challenges including climbing towering stacks of hay bales, jumping over logs and balancing along uneven terrain, crossing creeks, navigating through mud pits, climbing ropes, and even shoveling manure. Three different courses were available to ensure the event was accessible for everyone: a youth course for participants under 16, as well as beginner and advanced divisions for adult competitors. “It whooped my butt!” ... To keep everyone safe and fueled, water stations were stationed throughout the course, allowing competitors to stay hydrated as they took on the heat and hills of Scenery Hill. ... Events like Farm Games also reflect the mission of Wonsettler Physical Therapy and Specialized Health: to promote wellness, resilience, and holistic health through movement and challenge. By blending the rugged beauty of the farm with innovative obstacle design, Farm Games brings people together to move, sweat, and thrive — whether they’re seasoned athletes or first-time participants.
