Qu’est-ce que Deadly Dozen ?

Deadly Dozen is a hybrid fitness race that began with a track race in Macclesfield, England, in mid-2024, founded by Jason Curtis. In the original Track Race, athletes alternate twelve 400 m runs, called Journeys, with twelve functional exercise stations, called Labours, for 4.8 km of running in total.

Athletes can race solo, as pairs who share the Labours, or as a relay team taking turns. Alongside the Track Race, the brand runs Deadly Sprint, Ultra and Hybrid formats, a youth race, a swim edition and gym-based races, including strength and barbell formats, through affiliate gyms. UK track races are held at athletics venues such as Lee Valley, Sheffield, Middlesbrough, Bristol, Macclesfield, Edinburgh, Crawley, Liverpool and Portsmouth, and the organisers say the network now spans 44 countries. First-timers are welcome, and the movements are designed to be accessible while still demanding.

The Hybrid Games is a fitness race series run at indoor venues across the UK. The course alternates ten 600 m runs with ten functional stations and finishes with a 200 m sprint, about 6.2 km of running in total. Stations include an air bike, wall balls, rowing, burpee broad jumps, dumbbell snatches, lunges, a farmers carry, a sled pull, SkiErg and a sled push, with separate weights for men and women.

Entries are available as Male or Female Solo and as Male, Female or Mixed Doubles. Every station is judged, athletes are chip-timed, and the organisers state that there is no cut-off time. Results feed a season leaderboard ranked by age group. Recent and upcoming host cities include Liverpool, Newcastle, Birmingham and Glasgow. It suits athletes who train both running and strength and want a judged race.
