What is Nuclear Fit?

Nuclear Fit is an outdoor hybrid fitness race run by Nuclear Races at its obstacle course site near Brentwood, Essex. Instead of an indoor track, athletes run six 1 km trail loops, each including two 4 ft hurdles, and complete a fitness station after each loop in a central arena called The Core.

The stations use farm-themed equipment: a tyre flip, a farmers urn hug, a plough pull, a milk churn carry, a sandbag duck-and-throw and a squat-and-lift, with separate loads for men and women. Categories include singles, doubles and mixed doubles, plus a three-person relay in which each member completes two runs and two stations, and a Pro wave with longer station distances. Waves start every 10 minutes, chip timing records each run and station split, and there is a 2-hour time limit. It suits runners and gym-goers who want a hybrid race on trails rather than indoors.

What is The Yoddha Race?

The Yoddha Race is a hybrid fitness race series in India run by Spectacom Global, the company behind Devils Circuit. Season 3 has six regional races, in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and Delhi, followed by a Grand Finale.

The race alternates 700 m runs with seven workout zones completed in order: 1,000 m rowing, 50 m sled push, 50 m sled pull, 200 m kettlebell carry, 30 box jumps, 100 m weighted lunge walk and wall ball throws, with weights set by category. Categories are Male and Female Open and Male, Female and Mixed Doubles, with a Masters (40+) category added at regional level. Finishers under 90 minutes earn the Yoddha medal. Results feed a national leaderboard that decides who reaches the Grand Finale, which adds mystery workouts and a cash prize pool. It suits regular gym-goers and runners preparing for hybrid racing.
