Wild Hybrid Newcastle upon Tyne 25. Sept 2027

The Wild Hybrid Season 3 Championships take place at Exhibition Park in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne on 25 September 2027. The organisers call it their most exclusive event of the year: it is invite-only, and to earn a place competitors must finish in the top 10 at one of the season's other Wild Hybrid events.

Wild Hybrid combines off-road running with outdoor functional fitness. At Exhibition Park the running sections loop around the park and the functional work is set up across the open grass areas, with the city centre moments away. The series format alternates five 1 km trail runs with five workout stations before a 5 km run to finish, roughly 10 km of running. The Championships list Solo and Pairs divisions plus 5 km and 10 km Ruck Run options.

Start times are confirmed one week before and may fall anywhere between 8am and 5pm. All finishers receive Championship merchandise from the event sponsors, and families and spectators are encouraged to come and soak up the atmosphere. Qualified athletes register via their invitation through the official Wild Hybrid site.
