The Hybrid Games Newcastle 31 may 2027

Hybrid Games Newcastle brings the UK indoor fitness race to the north-east at the end of May 2027.

The course alternates ten 600 m runs with ten functional stations and ends with a 200 m sprint, about 6.2 km of running in total. The stations are an air bike, wall balls, a 1,000 m row, burpee broad jumps, dumbbell snatches, weighted lunges, a farmers carry, a sled pull, a 1,000 m SkiErg and a sled push, with separate weights for men and women.

Entries are available as individuals or in pairs, and waves are kept to roughly 20 to 30 athletes, which keeps queues at stations short. Results feed a season-long leaderboard ranked by age group, so a good Newcastle time carries over to the rest of the 2027 season. It suits athletes with a reasonable base in both running and strength training who want a judged, timed race; pairs is the gentler entry. Registration is on the official Hybrid Games site.
