DEKA Melbourne 5 feb 2027

The 2027 Melbourne DEKA Trifecta + Ultra Weekend is scheduled for Scoresby, in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, on 5 February 2027. It is one of the most complete DEKA programmes on the calendar: DEKA FIT, DEKA MILE and DEKA STRONG are all offered, each in solo and two-person team divisions, plus the DEKA FIT Ultra.

DEKA is Spartan's indoor functional fitness race built on ten fixed DEKA Zones. STRONG is the ten zones with no running, MILE adds 160 m runs for one mile in total, and FIT adds a 500 m run before every zone for 5 km of running. The Ultra is the endurance version, 50 zones and 25 km of running. Because the zones never change, every result feeds the same global leaderboard, and completing STRONG, MILE and FIT in one calendar year earns the DEKA Trifecta, which this weekend allows in a single trip.

Team divisions let two athletes share the zone work, which makes the weekend suitable for first-timers as well as the experienced racers drawn by the Ultra. February is high summer in Melbourne, so hydrate well even though the race is indoors. Venue address, heat schedule and entries are all on the official Spartan page.
