Toughest Gothenburg 18 Sept 2027

Toughest Gothenburg takes place on 18 September 2027 at Kviberg Park, the sports park in the north-east of the city, with a course that moves from fast-paced fields into the rough hills and untamed nature around them. The organisers say Gothenburg is loved for its Mud Lands sections and is a sure bet for anyone wanting the full obstacle-course experience.

The Toughest main race is roughly 8 km with the series' complete set of obstacles, and runners can choose Double Distance for two laps, about 16 km. Fast Lanes offer a more technical line on selected obstacles. For newcomers, Xplore is a 4 km untimed course with the hardest obstacles removed, and Toughest Family is a 2 km course for children and adults together. Every obstacle is optional and can be tackled alone or with team-mates, and all finishers receive a medal.

Fees increase in steps during the registration period and sign-up closes about a week before the race or when capacity is reached. Medical staff are stationed around the course and at the water obstacles. Gothenburg suits groups and families as much as competitive athletes, who can race the Elite class for Toughest Tour and OCR World Championship qualification. Entries are on the official Toughest site.
