What is Jakarta Hybrid Race (20FIT)?
The Jakarta Hybrid Race is a hybrid fitness competition organised by 20FIT, a sports and fitness centre in Jakarta whose 20FIT Arena is an official HYROX training club. The 2026 edition, sponsored by Livin' by Mandiri and VISA, runs over a weekend in November at 20FIT Arena.
The race is a simulation of the HYROX format using official CENTR | HYROX equipment. Athletes run 500 m and then complete one workout station, eight times over: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls. Four lanes run side by side for head-to-head racing, with electronic timing. Categories are Singles (men and women, Open and Pro) and Doubles (men, women and mixed), with competition weights set by division, and there is a kids' training session. Because runs are shorter than in a full HYROX race, it suits athletes preparing for their first hybrid race as well as experienced racers.
What is Strong Viking?
Strong Viking is an obstacle run series held in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, with Viking-themed courses featuring mud trenches, water and climbing obstacles such as the 14-metre Fjord Drop and Storm the Castle. The organisers present it as a challenge rather than a race, with a focus on helping fellow participants finish.
Distances range from a 4 km Family Run and a 4 km Beginning course for first-timers through the 7 km Lightning, 13 km Warrior and 19 km Beast to a 42 km course and the 60 km Ultra Viking. Event weekends listed for 2027 include Wijchen, Hofstade, Frankfurt and Ghent, with most offering several distances across two or three days. Strong Viking has won several obstakels.com awards, including best obstacle run of the Benelux. The shorter distances suit beginners and groups of friends, while the longer courses are aimed at experienced obstacle runners.
