Hybrid Games Liverpool opens the 2027 season on 27 February 2027, the first of four UK cities on the calendar. The Hybrid Games is an indoor fitness race staged in arena and exhibition venues, built around a short running loop and ten functional workout stations on the same floor.
The race alternates ten 600 m runs with ten stations, roughly 6.2 km of running in total, and finishes with a 200 m sprint. Stations are an air bike, wall balls, rowing, burpee broad jumps, dumbbell snatches, lunges, a farmers carry, a sled pull, a SkiErg and a sled push, with separate men's and women's weights.
Athletes race as individuals or in pairs, in waves of roughly 20 to 30, and finishing position within each age group earns points on a leaderboard that runs across the whole season. As the opening round, Liverpool is where athletes set their benchmark for the year. It suits people who train both running and strength and want a judged race rather than a workout; the pairs division shares the station work and is the recommended starting point. Entries are sold through the official Hybrid Games site.
