Spartan Race Los Angeles 20 feb 2027

The 2027 Dodger Stadium Spartan Event brings the Stadion format to the home of the Los Angeles Dodgers on 20 February 2027. Spartan describes a 5K course with 20 obstacles through the 56,000-seat ballpark, the oldest stadium west of the Mississippi, with thousands of steps, stairs and concourses and bleachers on top of bleachers.

Stadion races are Spartan's dry, urban version of obstacle racing: the obstacles are the familiar walls, carries, rigs and rope climbs, but the running is on concrete and stadium steps rather than mud and trail. That makes it fast and spectator-friendly, and a natural first Spartan for gym athletes and runners who are not sure about a muddy farm course. A Kids race is also listed.

Dodger Stadium is about 21 miles from LAX and close to downtown LA, which makes it an easy weekend race for visiting athletes. Register as a team if you want the same start time as friends, and allow extra time for stadium parking. Stair volume is the real challenge here: anyone who can run 5 km and handle a few flights of steps will finish, but fast times need strong legs. Entries are on the official Spartan site.
