HYROX Cardiff 20 may 2027

Cardiff joins the HYROX calendar in May 2027, bringing the fitness race to the Welsh capital for an indoor event in the same format used at every HYROX worldwide. Athletes run 1 km, then complete one functional workout station, and repeat that eight times: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls, always in that order.

Because the course never changes, a time set in Cardiff sits on the same global leaderboard as a time from London or Hamburg, and age-group results count towards World Championship qualification. Divisions on offer are Individual Open, Individual Pro with heavier weights, Doubles Open, Doubles Pro and a four-person Relay, so friends can split the stations between them rather than racing alone.

There is no time cap and no qualifying standard for age-group entry, which makes HYROX Cardiff a sensible first race for anyone with a solid running base and some gym experience. Registration is handled through the official HYROX site, where start waves are assigned by division; UK editions have regularly filled early, so it pays to book once entries open.
