HYROX Hamburg 28 Oct 2026

Hamburg is where HYROX began in 2017, and the race returns to its birthplace at Hamburg Messe (Hall B6) from 28 October 2026. For many athletes this is the sentimental pick of the German calendar: racing on what the organisers call historic ground, in the city where the global fitness-racing community first formed.

The format is exactly what it has been since the first edition: run 1 km, complete a functional workout station, repeat eight times, with the SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, row, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls always in the same order. Hamburg offers Individual Open and Pro, Doubles Open and Pro, and the Relay, and Pro results count towards World Championship age-group qualification.

Hamburg Messe is in the centre of the city next to the Sternschanze and Dammtor stations, which makes it easy to combine with a weekend in town. The German field is strong and the late-October date makes it an early-season benchmark for athletes planning a bigger race in spring. First-timers can start in Open or Doubles; there is no cut-off time. Entries are sold per division through the official HYROX DACH ticket page.

Save the date: Wednesday, 28 October 2026. HYROX brings its indoor race format to Hamburg, Germany. The HYROX format is identical worldwide: eight 1 km runs, each followed by a functional workout station, in a fixed order from the 1,000 m SkiErg through sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry and sandbag lunges to 100 wall balls. There is no time cap.
