The Hybrid Games Birmingham 4 Jul 2027

The Hybrid Games comes to Birmingham on 4 July 2027 for an indoor fitness race in the heart of the Midlands. The series is run at arena and exhibition venues across the UK, with a compact course that packs ten runs and ten workout stations into a single hall.

Each athlete alternates ten 600 m runs with ten functional stations, air bike, wall balls, a 1,000 m row, burpee broad jumps, dumbbell snatches, weighted lunges, a farmers carry, a sled pull, a 1,000 m SkiErg and a sled push, before a 200 m sprint to the line. Loads differ for men and women, every station is judged, and chip timing captures every split. There is no official cut-off, so the race is finishable for anyone who can hold a steady effort for well over an hour.

Entries are available as individuals and pairs, and waves of around 20 to 30 athletes keep the floor uncrowded. Points are awarded by finishing position within each age group and accumulate over the season, with Birmingham sitting mid-calendar between Newcastle and Glasgow. It suits hybrid athletes who want a judged, timed test with less running than a HYROX; pairs is the easier way in. Registration is through the official Hybrid Games site.
