Tough Mudder London South 18 Sept 2027

Holmbush Farm at Faygate in West Sussex hosts Tough Mudder London South on 18 and 19 September 2027. The course covers more than 2,500 acres of private working countryside in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, weaving through ancient pine forest, deep rutted tracks and steep natural valley ridges. What makes it notorious, say the organisers, is the Sussex heavy clay, which turns the route into a deep mud bath after rain.

Tough Mudder is a teamwork-based obstacle course event with a 5K format of 12 or more obstacles and a 15K format of 20 or more, including classics such as the enclosed-tube climb under a fire hose. Kids by Spartan courses of 1 km, 1.5 km and 3 km run alongside for children aged 4 to 14, and an Adaptive Athlete Programme pairs athletes with course guides.

Official Tough Mudder camping is coming to this event weekend, so teams can make a two-day trip of it. Mudder Village passes for spectators are cheaper online than at the gate, and most participants fundraise for a UK charity through givestar. London South suits groups who want the full muddy experience; strong legs and a change of clothes are essential. Register on the official Tough Mudder UK site.

Tough Mudder London South is set for Saturday, 18 September 2027: an outdoor fitness race in London South, United Kingdom. Tough Mudder is a team-first obstacle course event: a muddy 5K with 12 or more obstacles or a 15K with 20 or more, built around teamwork rather than finishing times. Signature obstacles include Arctic Enema, Mudderhorn and Electroshock Therapy.

Entries are on sale and start at £58.58.
