HYROX Sanya takes the fitness race to Hainan, China's tropical island province, with an event at the Poly International Expo Center on 5 December 2026. Sanya is a resort city on the island's southern coast, so this edition doubles as a winter-sun destination race for athletes from mainland China and the wider region.

The test is the same as at every HYROX: run 1 km, then complete a functional workout station, eight times in total. The stations never change, so results from Sanya rank directly against any other race. Divisions are Individual Open and Pro, Doubles Open and Pro, and the Relay.

The Poly International Expo Center is a modern exhibition venue with indoor halls, so racing is unaffected by the climate outside, though the warm, humid conditions make hydration before and after the race more important than usual. Open and Doubles have no cut-off time and suit first-timers; Pro is where World Championship age-group places are won. Entries are sold per division on the official HYROX China ticket page, and the limited number of Chinese dates means divisions can fill quickly.

Save the date: Saturday, 5 December 2026. HYROX brings its indoor race format to Sanya, China. The HYROX format is identical worldwide: eight 1 km runs, each followed by a functional workout station, in a fixed order from the 1,000 m SkiErg through sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry and sandbag lunges to 100 wall balls. There is no time cap.

You can enter HYROX Sanya in 5 divisions: Singles (Solo, from $125), Pro Singles (Solo, from $125), Doubles (Pairs, from $115 per person), Pro Doubles (Pairs, from $115 per person), and Relay (Team of 4, from $75 per person). Singles Men, Singles Women, Pro Singles Men, Pro Singles Women, Doubles Men, Doubles Mixed +4 are sold out, while Doubles Women and Pro Doubles Women are still available from $115.
