Tough Mudder Colorado 25 Sept 2027

Tough Mudder Colorado 2027 takes place at Fort Carson, the US Army base at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado Springs, on 25 September 2027. The organisers call it one of the most naturally punishing venues on their calendar: the course sits above 6,000 feet, the terrain is wide, exposed and unforgiving, and Pikes Peak is in view for most of the day.

Tough Mudder is a team-focused obstacle course event rather than a race. Colorado offers the Tough Mudder 5K, with 12 or more obstacles, and the Tough Mudder 15K, with 20 or more obstacles over roughly 15 km, both featuring the series' signature obstacles. Participants are encouraged to help each other over the course, and every finisher in 2027 earns a finisher tee and the famous headband.

Altitude is the real variable here: athletes arriving from sea level should expect the running to feel noticeably harder and start conservatively. Parking and bag-drop fees can be prepaid at checkout, spectators can buy Mudder Village passes online, and volunteering earns a discounted entry. The 5K suits newcomers and groups; the 15K at this elevation is a demanding day. Register through the official Tough Mudder site.

Tough Mudder is a team-first obstacle course event: a muddy 5K with 12 or more obstacles or a 15K with 20 or more, built around teamwork rather than finishing times.
