HYROX Melbourne 9 Dec 2026

HYROX Melbourne is coming back in a big way, with five race days at the Melbourne Convention Centre in South Wharf from 9 December 2026. The venue sits on the Yarra River at the edge of the CBD, on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country, and is one of the largest indoor spaces in Australia, which lets the organisers run some of the biggest fields in the southern hemisphere.

Step up to 8 x 1 km of running plus eight workout stations, completed in the fixed HYROX order from the SkiErg to the wall balls. Race solo in Individual Open or Pro, partner up in Doubles Open or Doubles Pro, or rally three friends for the four-person Relay. Pro divisions carry heavier weights and decide World Championship age-group qualification.

Five days of racing means a wide choice of waves, from quieter weekday mornings to the packed weekend sessions where the Pro heats draw the crowds. Melbourne's club scene is strong, so expect loud support around the station floor. Open has no cut-off time and the standard weights are achievable for regular gym-goers; Doubles is the easiest first entry. Entries are sold per division on the official HYROX Australia ticket page and have sold through in previous seasons, so register when sales open.

HYROX comes to Melbourne, Australia on Wednesday, 9 December 2026 for an indoor race. The HYROX format is identical worldwide: eight 1 km runs, each followed by a functional workout station, in a fixed order from the 1,000 m SkiErg through sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry and sandbag lunges to 100 wall balls. There is no time cap.
